Dream Lake within Lauray Caverns While Le Corbusier’s visions of tomorrow’s cities were half realized in some of the urban housing projects that have now become hallmarks of the inner city ghetto, Walt Disney’s foray into urban planning never quite left the drawing board. This film, made just before his death, showcases what Disney actually had in store for Florida. It seems that after his death (which unfortunately was also prior to Cryogenics) the Disney corporation did not want to be in the business of operating a city. Hm. Am I wrong in interpreting Disney’s EPCOT as a giant mitochondria? Those green belted single family homes would be located along the ribosome, maybe?
